Arabesque is the term applied to the elaborate repetition of geometric forms in Arabic art. These forms often echo forms in nature such as plants or animals.

I have posted this here really just because I like to say the word “mattenklopper.” This is an instrument used to clean the dust out of rugs when they are hanging.

I officially give this the stamp of coolness. Yes, it is a rug made out of circular pellets of white wool. Yes, this would get dirty. Yes, you could get your foot wedged between the pellets and tumble towards the pellets. But it is cool. So don’t argue.
